Editor's Opinion

Cleans the entire pool, including above the waterline, without your attention.

Description

Aquabot T4 is the most technologically advanced robotic pool cleaner available.

Its cleaning pattern is the most efficient ever produced for robotic pool cleaners. It intelligently travels up and down vertically and navigates the pool. This Aquabot is 6 times more reliable than its predecesors with a cleaning time as low as 1 hour. This much more efficient and shorter cleaning cycle makes it ideal for free form pools and it will even clean most stairs and love seats. This robot also incorporates a water jet that gently power washes to lift stubborn debris from cracks, crevices and tight corners.

The included hand held remote control allows you to spot clean a particularly tough areas.

The T4 robot operates independently of the the main pool filter and works with no hoses, no hookups, no booster pumps or suction lines. Just place it in the water, push a button and that's it! The pool gets cleaned automatically. The timer incorporates a 2 hour automatic shut off to conserve precious energy resources and avoid unneeded wear and tear on the robot.

The Aquabot T4 utilizes a highly efficient and reusable filter bag and power driven scrubbing brushes. It is capable of filtering unwanted debris as small as 2 microns in size, yet still allows up to 4000 gallons of water to flow through per hour. This results in the removal of sand, silt, hair, metal particles, bacteria and most algae. In addition, large debris such as acorns, leaves and twigs are quickly and permanently removed.

The filter bag ($45) needs to be replaced about every year.

Pros

  • The debris bag is easy to remove and clean.
  • Cheaper than hiring a pool guy.

Cons

  • Drive belts need to be often replaced.
  • The robot tends to not climb well in a cold water.
  • Fairly expensive replacement parts.
