Description

NetTansor is a WiFi webcam on wheels. It features three-wheel driving base, bidirectional voice communication, wireless network connection, video camera (320x240, 15 fps) and three forward facing sensors.

This compact but powerful home telepresence robot designed for families and hobbyists is controlled by Evolution Robotics ViPR visual pattern recognition technology and easy-to-use software for the PC. Users can access NetTansor remotely from the Internet, drive it around their home and even create programs for the robot to run entirely on its own. For example: NetTansor can patrol the house and automatically send pictures to mobile phone based on what it sees.

ViPR vision system from Evolution Robotics enables NetTansor to interact intelligently with its environment and perform fully autonomous tasks. It can recognize and respond to what it sees, from everyday objects and images to even specific locations in the home. For example a parent can program NetTansor to recognize when it is in the kitchen and play a personal voice message if it sees a child.

Pros

  • Controlled remotely from the Internet.
  • Can interact intelligently with its environment.
  • It can be programmed to run entirely on its own.
