Description

CoroBot is a standardized, affordable and highly extensible mobile robotics platform that can be customized for an array of uses.

CoroBot minimizes the complexity of robot development. It combines a PC-class platform with object-oriented software development system. It also assists the hardware developer with additional physical mounting space, ports, sensors and communication devices.

The CoroBot features extensive storage, powerful processing capacity and Microsoft Robotics Studio.

Hardware

CoroBot is equipped with a PC-class 1.2 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAMM, and 20 GB hard disk and multiple sensors (like IR distance sensors front and back), 8 digital inputs / outputs. It also features 640x480 color camera and optionally a 14" robotic arm that can lift weights up to 8 oz. The robotic arm that is capable of 4 degrees of freedom is equipped with gripper and contact sensor.

The robot moves on 4 wheels and can carry a 5 lbs. load.

CoroBot features expanded functionality by providing enough physical mounting space for additional communication and electrical inputs and outputs.

Programming

This robo-PC can run Linux or Windows. It is up to you.

If you choose Windows, then you will be able to use the CoroWare PlusPack for Microsoft Robotics Studio. It is a collection of applications, services, tools, assets and utility classes that complement and extend the capabilities of Microsoft Robotics Studio.
