Genibo, which stands a foot tall and weighs 3.3 pounds, understands 100 commands, including "sit," "roll over" and "wag tail." It can navigate around obstacles, features a loud bark, a digital camera and the ability to interact with other Genibos.
Petting the robo-dog's head, back or flank, or giving it a ball will distort its features into a happy expression. It has 3 color LED matrix for eyes that conveys its emotions: happiness, distrust and other emotions.
This robo-pet has the ability to understand human speech that enables the robot to understand and comply with 100 words including commands like, "come here," "sit," "wag your tail," and "do a headstand."
Genibo can take pictures (355x288 pixels) with the built in camera (in the nose) and transfer them via Bluetooth to your PC or Mobile phone. The Bluetooth technology also allows the robot to receive wireless commands (from your PC or mobile phone). If left alone it will wander around.
Contains 17 small motors and a CPU (32bit RISC, 8bit CPU). It can be trained to inform you of telephone numbers or your schedule.
Unfortunately genibo's motion is not smooth - more like quick and jerky.
