Auto-Mower handles up to half an acre (1,800 square meters) of grass. It is designed to maintain the property daily, rather than on the typical once-a-week schedule. It cuts the grass in a random pattern with a cutting disk with three steel baldes powered by 2 electric motors. It has a sensor that backs it up and changes slightly the course whenever it hits something.
The cutting disk stops rotating whenever the mower is tilted up. You can program the cutting height between 30 and 95 mm (1.2-3.4 inch). Although it cuts the grass in a random pattern, it makes sure that by the end, it has cut all areas of the lawn in the boundary perimeter. It does not pick up any grass.
AutoMower is trimming the grass rather than going for a full cut. It can cover a wider area in less time than it could on a less frequent mowing schedule with longer grass. That strategy is dictated largely by battery capacity that runs for 1.5 hours off a single charge and requires 1-2 hours to recharge. When the mower reaches half its battery capacity, it looks for a signal that comes from the docking station, stops mowing and goes to it for recharge. A recharging wire extends from the docking station and guides the mower onto its power booster.
The Auto Mower uses microprocessor circuitry and a perimeter wire that can be surface mounted using small U shaped pins or buried as deeply as one foot into the ground. The boundary wire needs to be kept at least 30-40cm away from your home/fence.
It fertilizes as it cuts. That’s because the short clippings from Automower drop back into the lawn. It helps to retain moisture and provides needed nutrients to the grass.
It can be programmed to cut particular areas at particular times of day. This robotic mower operates best in a smooth, level lawn with few or no obstructions. Maximum slope is listed as 20 degrees.
The Auto Mower comes with built in anti theft alarm. It also has a secondary area option that allows you to move the robot into another boundary area.
Setup
is very easy. Just install the charging station, take the boundary wire and make a loop with it around your lawn, lay down the search wire and connect it to the charging station, put the lawn mower in the middle of the lawn and turn it on.
The inner workings of this machine are inside a dark-green body made of Luran S. This highly weather resistant material manufactured by BASF can withstand extreme weather conditions. This is why the surface and colors of this robotic lawnmower shine after years of exposure to heat and rain.
