Description

ConnectR is a mobile webcam with microphone, speakers and headlight.

The device has been designed for busy parents and distant grandparents seeking greater connection with their kids, grandkids and pets. It lets you have virtual visits: can see, hear and interact with them in their home as if you were there in person. More, you can remotely send the wheeled robot into any room at home and follow a person or go anywhere you want. You can also use it for security purposes and make sure that everything is fine when you are away from home.

ConnectR resembles the Roomba - a disc-shaped vacuum cleaner. It's chassis has been modified to carry a tilt-and-zoom video camera, speaker, microphone, and headlight.

This mobile webcam connects to a home Wi-Fi network and can be operated remotely from a computer connected to the internet with iRobot-supplied software using their keyboard and mouse or a joystick to drive the device from room to room, using the live video feed as a guide.

The device is easy to set up, use and maintain and provides privacy and internet Safety features. Using the remote you can restrict access or shut down audio, video or both when necessary. Encrypted password protection keeps access to the robot private and secure. Up to ten PINs can be used to access the robot to facilitate multi-user one-at-a-time visiting privilages.

The high quality two-way audio/video camera makes visiting easy providing wide angle and 16.7x zoom with 220 degrees of tilt for total control over video image.
