Description

This cleaning robot was designed to sweep up dirt and debris that clings to rough surfaces in your garage or basement. Cleans under workbenches, cars and other hard-to-reach places. It picks up the nuts, bolts, dirt, and other debris from your shop floor. You can use it on hard floors, shop carpets or industrial floor surfaces only.

It is very easy to use: just push the clean button and the dirt dog will navigate around your garage and cover the whole area without barking. There are no bags to worry about and it features an oversized (40% larger) easy to empty dust bin. This robot cleaner has no vacuum and is equiped with two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes (1000 times per minute). The robot also features stair avoidance system.

Accessories from other iRobot robotic vacuums like virtual walls, batteries, remotes, and charging bases are compatible with this model.

It needs 7 hour to fully charge its Ni-MH rechargeable battery and it should have 1 hour of cleaning time per charge.

Programming: Dirt Dog can be hacked using the iRobot Osmo module.

Pros

  • Compatible with other roombas.
  • Stair Avoidance System.
  • High-speed Counter-Rotating Brushes.
  • Oversized Bagless Debris Bin.

Cons

  • Short vacuuming time.
  • No docking station.
  • Stumbles on bigger fragments.
  • Requires a close eye to free it from mishaps.
  • Brute force cleaning patterns i.e. rolling around until it runs out of juice.

Wonderful...runs my two car garage every night with the cars in place...never gets stuck and picks up everything. Short battery ??? Mine runs for and hour and a half before it stops...I don't think that is a short time battery.
