To start, just select one of the RoboCleaner's four cleaning programs, then choose the amount of time you want the RoboCleaner to run. It couldn't be easier. Cleans up to 160 square feet an hour (15 square meters).
This smart appliance copes with every kind of floor covering: carpet or hardwood floors. It continuously monitors the type of surface and the amount of dirt being picked up. If the amount of dirt increases, the Robo Cleaner automatically adjusts, passing back and forth across the heavily soiled area until it is clean.
When the Karcher RoboCleaner needs to be recharged, or to empty its dirt container, it returns automatically for its charger station (30-60 minute charging time). One charge is sufficient for about 30 to 60 minutes of cleaning. It also automatically empties its dirt container into the charger unit's filter bag. With this system, you have virtually no contact with dirt. All you do is change the charger unit's filter bag.
Optic sensors enable the RoboCleaner to identify staircases reliably, so it won't tumble down. It even recognizes other obstacles, such as single steps. In addition to optical sensors, the Karcher RoboCleaner moves around obstacles with the help of spring-bearing wheels and special rubber "ears" that prevent the RoboCleaner from becoming wedged beneath furniture.
The Karcher RC3000 RoboCleaner really is a proper vacuum cleaner. It uses a roller brush and suction together to clean right down into the fibres. It has an internal sensor that can actually detect how dirty the floor is, and automatically selects one of four cleaning programmes best suited to the conditions.
Unlike the Roomba or Electrolux that have accessories (like virtual wall) to prevent their vacuums from going into different rooms, the Karcher does not offer these options. If you don't want RoboCleaner to enter a room, close the door.
