Manoi PF01 (PF stands for PerFormance) is an anime style robot. It has a distinctive comic/manga character, style, and anime movements.
Manoi is built on the Kondo KHR-1 skeleton. It means that it has the same physical abilities such as: standing up after a fall, standing on one foot etc.. However, Manoi PF01 is much more than the Kondo KHR-1. The robot movements are surprisingly lifelike and fluid. The plastic shells are sturdy and fairly thick. They should stand up to a lot of use. The main joints, like the hips, have load bearing plates and bushings to minimize torsional stress and wear on the servos. Its overall structure and design is an order of magnitude more robust than Kondo KHR-1. Under its plastic shell, MANOI's internal linkages and servos look built to last.
Manoi is equiped with Kondo's powerful actuators designed for robots, cast resin brackets and high performance motherboard. The newly developed actuator boasts high torque, high speed, and high precision. The high-precision resin brackets, which are unique to mass production models, actualize the unprecedented smooth movement.
