(4) | It gets the dust | January 10, 2007 |
|
I am infatuated with robovacs. I have a roomba original, an e-vac, a tchibo, a koolvac, and a cleanmate. Each is good at something. The cleanmate is WONDERFULL at getting the fine dust and grit off hard floors. However, I have had it clog at the intake area a few times, especially with my dog 's hair.

This thing is weird. It really does pick up a lot of dust. Made me realize how unsaniatry carpet really is. Ordered the second one today.

(1) | Unit is not SMART does not go to the base | December 06, 2007 |

I just purchased the QQ2, and DO NOT recommend it. Unit DOES NOT go to the base to get re-charge. It does a terrible job, and it keeps on vacuuming the same area. The unit does not even vacuum for 10 minutes and the battery needs to be recharged. I will not buy this product again.

I purchased one of these fine units in Feb/08. It does an amazing job picking up dust and dirt from our floors. We have mostly hardwood and tile floors and they have never been cleaner, it runs every day in our master bath, and every other day in our master bedroom, kitchen and dining room and spare bedroom and office.I do like the remote and the timer feature so that small roms can be cleaned for a shorter time. It does find it 's way back to the charging station and is ready to go the next day. I have had absolutely NO problems at all and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a robot vacuum at a reasonable price. We have a long hair cat and it picks up all the cat hair and dirt, so far we have not had any clogs of the vacuum intake as reported by others. We do have one carpeted room in the house but don 't even bother trying to vacuum a carpet, this unit will NOT do it.Overall I am very satisified with the vacuum, the only question I keep asking myself is why did I wait so long to buy one?

(1) | Do not buy | September 11, 2008 |

The 4th time I ever ran the vacuum cleaner, it stopped working and ran in a circle over and over again for an hour. One wheel completely stopped moving. The company 's website has a FAQ, and wheel malfunction, was listed as a common problem due to a defective motor. The solution they listed was to contact the company for a replacement; however, when I emailed the company about this apparently common problem, they were very unhelpful. Thank God I kept my receipt, as they weren 't even willing to talk with me until I emailed a copy of my receipt to them. Even after I sent them my reciept they made me jump through a variety of hoops filling out deliberately confusing paper-work in order to get my repair done. They then refused to just mail me my replacement motor. I finally got approval to mail back my cleaner for repairs. After paying $20 in postage to mail back the cleaner, I never again heard from metapo, nor have I gotten my repaired/replaced vacuum in the mail. In fact, when I emailed metapo to find out why they decided not to honor their warranty even after approving me for repairs, they decided to stop answering my emails. I have never had a worse customer service experience. You 'd think that the company would be sympathetic to selling me a product that has a motor they know to be defective. Do not buy this product, or anything else from metapo. At best, they are inept and making and servicing their product. At worst, they 're deliberate thieves.
