I-QUE is a mobile robot and can go anywhere in your house. i-Que uses twin motors and track balls to easily navigate flat surfaces, is able to work itself out of corners, ducks as it passes under low tables or chairs, and is smart enough to not go over edges of counters, stairs, or other drops. So, it won’t bump into walls or fall off of tables and it lowers its head automatically to clear coffee tables. When it starts to run low on power, the robot guides itself back to its docking station to recharge.
Teacher
It can help with homework by supplying information on biographies, history, and animals in a fun and informative way. I-Que can define words or do a math problems. He can also teach programming skills. You can alter his voice, make him do specific routines, even have him recite a speech you wrote.
Personal assistant
The 16-bit microprocessor and flash based memory allows the robot to expand its knowledge base with personal interaction and become your personal assistant. Using speech recognition, the toy can identify its owner’s voice, have a two-way "conversation," retain new words, and even mimic accents. An included communicator similar to a Blackberry lets you text the i-Que from a remote location in the house and receive response. This device docks on the robot and lets it learn personal information about you, such as your birthday, friends’ names, holidays, events, or special occasions -- even your favorite TV shows.
