Nuvo is a robot designed to be a helpmate and home companion. It listens, reacts, walks and talks, is 15 inches tall and contains 15 motors.
Nuvo is marketed as a household helpmate, a mobile baby monitor and security device, because it can relay photographs to cellphones with access to the Internet.
It walks (speed 3m/min) and responds to voice commands (can respond to 50 clearly spoken commands), as well as links to your mobile phone both to receive commands and to send you images of your home taken with the camera inside its head if the cell phone has Internet access. You can also control it using a remote control.
This home robot won't walk into objects, and is also able to rollover or to stand up on its own. It can walk up and extend its hand when meeting someone. When you call it, its sensors will detected you and it will automatically come to you.
It also has the ability to dance, getting up and play musical sounds. Ask nuvo about current time - it will tell you immediately. Also, nuvo plays your favorite music for you, and makes your photo album using the camera function.
It is equiped with LAN, Wireless LAN, speaker, microphone and remote control. It also has multiple sensors: joint angle sensor, acceleration sensor, rate gyro sensor, infrared obstacle sensor. Its camera can take 100 shots.
Nuvo can act as a secretary to manage your schedule and can let you know about new incoming emails on your computer. With its built-in camera, it lets you see around the house with your cell phone when you are out.
It waves its arms and responds "Yaaa!" to loud noises.
It is laso equiped with the Wi-Fi, which means that you can control it via your PC's web browser and the microphone allows you to shout orders too.
Available in brilliant yellow, deep blue, grass green, and shiny silver.
Nuvo has no Artificial Intelligence, which means it can't learn and has no real personality.
